Hello everyone!

I feel bad for Laura Secord because she looms so largely as a Canadian Hero blah blah blah but during her lifetime she fought until she was an old lady for anyone to recognize what she did at all. That sort of thing happened all the time, they can make a book about it called Bummer History.

I am in New York for the week. Right now I am getting ready for the MoCCA Comic Festival! Super exciting. Last night was the event Drink and Draw Like A Lady, it was a blast. If you are a comics making lady going to Portland for the Stumptown Comics Festival, you gotta check that out. I will put up some links about the people I met later I think.

Here is a cool thing. If you have kids, and would like to encourage their drawing interests (which you totally should), Five Minute Marvels is a blog that is kind of a project between kids and parents and other folks who love them, working together to make sweet drawings! You should check it out.
